You can reset the password on the modem Router back to password, and how you do it is to get a paper clip and poke it in a little tiny hole in the back of the Router right beside where the wire that goes to you splitter plugs in.

You think that's easy, well it is but be warned read on.........

You do need to press the paperclip in the hole gently, but hard enough to depress the switch and you must keep it depressed for about 10 seconds. it is no good just depressing the switch briefly, you must press it for about ten seconds, This is explained in the stuff on the cd that comes with the Router, but we expect it will take you more than 10 seconds to find where it is!!?

Now the password will be password, and you can access the Router using your cat5 Network cable supplied and change the password to something else. Do change the password to a series of characters that are more than eight characters long and contains a mix of numbers and letters at least!

"Remember when you do reset the password that the User Name will be admin and the password will be password. Also remember that the entry of both the user name and the password are case sensitive.... so user name Admin and the password being the correct one you set will not work!"

Why create a password like I say above.... to prevent so called dictionary attacks where people try passwords out of a dictionary.
