There is a Beer Festival on at the Jolly Angler Pub in Reading, if you want to know more read this blog article where we have a list of Beers that are going to be available for your consumption during the Beer Feastival..... perhaps you are not sure where the Jolly Angler Public House is we are going to tell you right here...
Essentially The Jolly Angler is right on the tow path of the Kennet and Avon Canal, if you walk or cycle along the tow path from where the Kennet and Avon Canal joins the river Thames, towards town you will find the Jolly Angler pub on your left hand side pretty much opposite the weir. Do not confuse the Jolly Angler with the Fisherman's Cottage, which is, we believe a Fullers pub. The Jolly Angler is a Free House and lovely to see if you are into your beer!!!

BEER FESTIVAL JOLLY ANGLER 1st APRIL TILL THE 4th APRIL 2010
In fact, the Beer Festival, is not just an excuse to try out a fair range of ales, but there will be music there as well, making the festival even more enticing!!
So here is a list of Beers that are going to be at the Jolly Angler Public House for the beer festival:
We mention first the brewery in bold and the beer in capital letters and we even have the strength of the brew for those of you that are interested.......

RUMPORTER 4.6%

HELLBACK 4.2%
Hammerpot
This is a brewery in Surrey, there should be a beer from this particular brewery.
Bestmates Brewery
This brewery we believe that this brewery is in a little village called Ardington in Oxfordshire, here is the link to the actual brewery BestMates Brewery
White Horse
We believe there will be at least one beer and perhaps more than one beer from this brewery.
Of course there will as well as all these beers listed here be a fair few more local beers, including of course several beers from the Loddon brewery. infact when we visited the Jolly Angler they had at least 6 beers on the pumps and that was just on a Tuesday afternoon!! a bloody good show and all of them were as you might expect proper Real Ales: non of this continental yellow pap that you get from the larger manufacturers in the rest of europe!!!!
As well as the beers being at this festival there is likely to be a number of ciders, we hope to find out which ones in the next few days, and there is going to be music as well, yep live music...... we believe that there is going to be a mixture of Blues - Jaz - Folk and - Rock.... mmmmm very nice...???!!
